Our sweetness came into this world with her little ♥ broken. A coarctation of aortha, VSD and PDA were discovered on the third day of birth. On the seventh day after birth her life was saved by a large medical team performed major open heart surgery on her. As a side effect of surgery her vocal cords was paralyzed and began breathing problems and she had to be put on a ventilator. She remained stable but increasingly had problems in maintaining her oxygen levels.
After two months in hospital her medical team recommended a tracheostomy to help Amélie to breathe. The air now passes into the trachea directly rather than through the nose. For a while Amelie will not be able to talk because the air does not go-through the vocal cords. But you can’t imagine the ways she used to be heard. J’adore…
Despite all this, she is a happy little girl, today we turns 7 months of this sweetness and emotional rollercoaster. Now we’re looking forward to the day she don’t need the trache.
